Diablo 3 Beta

While the Diablo 3 beta has yet to be officially announced a good friend of mine who works for the Blizzard entertainment has informed me that the first phases of beta should begin sometime quarter 4 of 2008, or at the very latest, the first of 2009.
This type of launch date for the beta is very reassuring, as it further reinforces the estimated diablo 3 release date of summer / fall of 2009. As in all Blizzard games the beta will go through a variety of phases. First, the family and friends of Blizzard beta (cross fingers that I get one!), second closed beta…now this is where timing on your part will be crucial if you’d like to get in.
Closed beta accounts will be given by invitation only. How do you get this closed beta invitation? Once blizzard finally announces the closed beta sign ups you may only have a week, or two at max to get your name and information sent to blizzard. In these applications make sure you extol your vast gaming experience, the fact that you are a player and do not represent any type of media organization (if you’re associated with another company or media outlet Blizzard will immediately deny your app).
As always make sure to stop back by on occasion, as soon as official announcements are made on beta sign ups I’ll have the full story on how to get yourself one.

Hey mate, thanks for the info. I’m a long time fan of Diablo and have played Diablo 1 and 2. I really don’t want to miss out on the Beta, even though the main site is my homepage, if you could give me an email if you hear anything more then it would be very much appreciated. Thanks mate.

I’ll try to send emails to anyone that posts in this thread for the beta, and of course I’ll be making more posts as we get closer to the game actually releasing.
I’ve been a Diablo fan since day 1, and Im more than excited to play the upcoming D3, why not be ahead of the game?! Please let me know when there is a Beta sign up! Thanks ;)
I can’t wait till D3 is released. I have played them all and still have fun playing them. Beta testing D3 would be great and give me a chance to play it sooner. So let me know when it happens. Thanks Jeff
yeah im with everyone else…. iv been obsessing over this.. its going to be epic… possibly best game ever. about the Beta…. yeah il do whatever it takes to land one of those… keep me updated.
I gotta get into this beta. My friends and I joked about the release of D3 since we finished Diablo 2, 3 days after it came out. Then again, and again and again since then. It never gets old, but I cannot wait to play Diablo 3. Please keep me up on the beta news?

I’d love too be told when the release date should be. The beta, although i have doubts I’d get it, would make my life pure bliss. Played D1 and D2 over 5k hours each. ._.

Dude! Please send me that email about beta testing sign up’s when it’s anounced. That would be so awsome. I played D1 and D2 and beat both umteen million times. D3 will just be the icing on the cake.

I absolutely loved everything about the first two games and can’t wait for the third one. If there were a way to get into beta testing, that would just be the icing on the cake. Much props if you could send me an e-mail as well concerning the relevant information. Thanks in advance!
People say that they wasted 5-6 years playing Diablo 1 and 2, i have to disagree, those where the best years of my life, the most fun as well. i had many days where my friends would come over and we would all play diablo II together, those were the glory days. i cant wait for diablo III to come out, i really cant.
hey im a hudge gamer ive played diablo 1 and 2 since they were realeased till now, i love all blizzard games (except the new WoTLK witch is lame sauce), im 21 years old ive been playing games since i was 5, i have tons of gameing experience, knowledge and skills and i would LOVE to be part of the d3 beta, im not sure how to get invited to the beta but ive always wanted to be involved in blizzard beta’s but never got the chance too before. I would really love if you sent me an email telling me how to get involved in the beta for d3 thank you very much

I’m a long time user of both D1 and D2, I just watched the game play videos on D3, they were awesome. So yea, i’ve been long awaiting the arival of D3. The Beta would be greatly apreciated. I have thought of the Diablo series as one of the most entertaining set of games out there to play. They have a VERY high replay value and the new ways they spin each sequel is great! I would love to be a beta tester. No matter I will certainly purchase the game prior to release. Im actually playing D2 LOD again right now.

I’m sure Blizzard will take their time as usual to provide the same quality product as their past games. I have been playing Blizzard games since the 90s when Warcraft (ya… the first one) was the big deal. I’m really excited for this title and would love to hear any information on an upcoming beta test. Its not comming out, no matter what people are saying it will be released late 09 or 10
I dont think Bliz will let any of us hear of a beta and by the time we do it will be released.
lol i agree with Boz… by the time we hear about a beta test its gonna be when the beta sign up is full and closed, and one of the people that signed the beta-testing contracts is getting sued for leaking information about the beta *rofl*
but i would love to be able to beta test so if you have a hookup, ill take any info you got and youd have all my gratitude and appreciation =P

Warcraft 1, 2, 3
Diablo 1, Hellfire, Diablo 2, LoD (I’ve got i think 2 cdkeys of D1… and at least 5 of D2 +D2x) lol… it was a family thing back in the day haha
Starcraft 1 and its expansion (although i cant remember the name since i only played it cuz my brother bought it =P)
World of Warcraft Original, TBC and WotLK (only blizz game im still playing lol)

I adore the Diablo series and put way too much time into various builds and trying to come up with something weird and new yet wholly functional.
I’m 37 and feeling silly still playing but hell, I can see me wanting to play Diablo 9 or whatever when I retire rather than playing Bingo. Hell, put my brain in a jar hooked up to a computer so I don’t have to have old age pains interfering with my gaming :D
Diablo(s) and City of Heroes/Villains are what have sucked much of my life from me. WoW looked too addictive for me so I couldn’t touch it.
10 years of computer support experience and strong documentation capability.
I have a good artistic sense and could help come up with creative ways to make theme match the engine’s capabilities if a lacking or bug needs reframed or some other disjunctive elements need thematic coherence .
Well my brother is 16 so he was born when diablo 1 was made… We have that game and we also have Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 LoD. Ive been a fan for Diablo for a long time and i cant wait till Diablo 3 comes out!! I even have dreams of Diablo 3 being out in stores! Im seriously to young to play it but no one in my family really cares about it…. im 9 years old and seriously no one really cares if i play mature games…. well im a really good fan of diablo and allmost every day i go on the internet and see if Diablo 3 came out… Ask your good friend of yours to ask blizzard to make the beta open…

to hell with the beta they dont care about anything we want or say. blizzard cares about wow. remember when sc2 was such a big set of news and now what? when was the last time you heard anything about it? blizzard wants wow. they dont care about their old titles they just want their revenue from the big name they’ve made. remember that they are tied in with another company now that helps fund their work so they really have only one goal, make money. takin any bets…..cataclysm expansion comes out before sc2 or d3. BET!
